There were two Double Happy Rallys, they were held in 1987 & 1988. They were weekend events covering approx 1600km over the two days with as many gravel road section as we could fit in. They were forerunners to todays popular "Adventure Rides". Dropped from our events calendar due to limited support.
There are no reviews of the 1988 Rusty Nuts Double Happy run. Or at least none we have a copy of . There are no photos in our archives.

The 2nd Double Happy Road rally. This review by John Painting was originally published in Kiwi Rider in May ' 89. The double happy has not been run since due to small fields making it uneconomic. Although with the populatity of the "adventure rides" or recent years - consideration is being given to reviving them.
